VEHICLE DATA
To make important decisions relating to transport infrastructure you require data on the movement of traffic. This data is integral in the management of assets, risk and safety performance as well as road network performance.
Transport surveys conducted by DAS are in accordance with the Austroads Part 3 manual of Traffic Studies. The data collected using DAS methodology has a predefined accuracy indicator, is transparent and has a high reliability factor, resulting in the ability to make informed decisions.

PEDESTRIAN DATAOne of the most valuable pieces of information for retail management is accurate statistics on the number of people walking through your doors. You use this information for everything from negotiations with tenants and landlords to checking the results of marketing activities. This incredibly valuable information is gained through either an automated electronic system or manual sample counts.
Manual sample counts give you highly accurate snap shot on your pedestrian visitation statistics. A six hour period is sampled through a manual collection of data. This six hour period covers the pedestrian peak and low to ensure an accurate analysis. Once the statistics have been captured they are analyzed and you receive a report detailing all of the findings. This analysis is also a great way of auditing your electronic door count system and calculating an accurate calibration factor to ensure that your statistics are always accurate.
Automated electronic door count systems are a fantastic way of permanently gathering hour by hour pedestrian data. A system of invisible beams which register traffic each time they are broken sends data to a computer on site which provides you with comprehensive reports on the hourly fluctuations of pedestrian movements. These reports provide you with the means by which to analyze everything from sales conversion statistics to the results of your marketing activities.
